BiographyCarmen Hiu Man Kwok is a violin and viola teacher with over 13 years of teaching experience. Born and educated in Hong Kong, she graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and has since devoted her career to music education. She believes that everyone can become a musician when they experience the joy of making music.
Since relocating to Toronto, Canada in 2024, Carmen has continued her teaching career, working with students of all ages through private lessons and community music schools. Her teaching incorporates the Suzuki Method, ABRSM, and Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) curricula, with a focus on developing strong technical foundations, musical expression, and confidence in every student. Throughout her teaching journey, Carmen has worked with beginners, young musicians, and adult learners, guiding students in achieving their personal goals and fostering a lifelong appreciation for music. She believes that every student has unique potential and that an encouraging, supportive learning environment is essential for musical growth. Alongside teaching, Carmen remains an active musician and continues to participate in the local music community in Toronto. She is passionate about sharing her love of music and helping students discover the joy and fulfillment of learning an instrument. |
